How We Hire

Referral-Only. By Design.

Our hiring model is intentional. We do not post on job boards, work with  recruiters, or accept unsolicited applications. Every Elston Consulting engineer  was brought in through a direct referral from a current employee, a  trusted Friend of EC, or a vetted prime partner network. This is not  gatekeeping — it is quality control. The result is a team where every  member has been personally vouched for before they ever speak with us.

 The most common path. If an Elston engineer knows you and believes you  meet our standard, they can refer you directly. Their reputation is on  the line — which means they only refer people they would stake their own  credibility on.

 A curated group of former colleagues, program alumni, and trusted  industry contacts who have worked alongside Elston engineers and  understand what we look for. If you are in this network, you already  know who you are.

Occasionally, a prime contractor we work with will identify a candidate  they believe fits the Elston Consulting profile and make a formal introduction.  These referrals carry the same weight as internal ones.

We are not looking for candidates. We are looking for practitioners —  people who have spent their careers going deep in a specific domain and  have the scars to prove it.
